"If we can sell direct via EC, our margins should improve" — with this expectation, a food manufacturer decided to enter Amazon D2C. However, once they started, complexity far beyond expectations awaited them.
The first wall was EC literacy itself. How to use Amazon Seller Central, create product pages, understand the advertising system — learning from zero while managing existing operations left no time or manpower. Between the sales department leading sales and the factory supplying products, information sharing was fragmented, causing frequent communication losses around inventory status, shipping timing, and new product registration.
Meets Consulting's first action was "accurately understanding the ground-level reality." Drawing on real-business insights from supporting 200+ companies, they decomposed this client's unique challenge structure. After identifying "the biggest bottleneck," they prioritized and deployed initiatives.
First focus was "templating" daily business flows. Amazon order confirmation, shipping instructions, inventory replenishment requests — this entire sequence was organized into operations manuals anyone could follow without hesitation. Designed specifically for this client, considering their unique product characteristics, shipping constraints, and factory operating cycles.
The disconnect between sales and factory wasn't simple "communication failure." The root cause was that information flow methods, timing, and decision-making responsibilities were never structurally designed. Meets Consulting interviewed both sales and factory teams, redesigning information sharing systems and establishing coordination rules for inventory, shipping forecasts, and new product handling.
Addressing manual double-entry and core system integration difficulties, we drove order flow automation. Leveraging "success and failure patterns from other companies" accumulated from 200+ engagements, we designed the optimal automation level and integration method for this client, reducing on-site burden while building error-free operations.
From a starting point of complete EC inexperience, a stable Amazon sales system was established. With "templates" for ordering, inventory management, production-sales coordination, and logistics adjustment, EC operations don't stop even when staff changes or workloads spike.
"Building the system" is as important as growing revenue. Without a system, even temporary revenue gains can't be sustained. Meets Consulting is committed to building "systems that sell" and "systems that last" simultaneously.
"We thought listing on Amazon would be simple, but the technical terminology was difficult and system errors kept occurring, making it hard to move forward. That's why having Meets, an Amazon Partner Consultant, was extremely valuable. Beyond systematic Amazon knowledge, they patiently taught us specific how-to's, which was the biggest help."— Food Manufacturer, Manager
